The Chilliwack Youth Health Centre and the YMCA are pleased to introduce the Y Mind Mindfulness Group. This free group is for people aged 18-30 who experience anxiety. The group shares mindfulness and stress-management techniques that can help us deal with anxiety and live our best lives. Interested? A facilitator will get back to you and register you for an information session on Wednesday, September 26th or Wednesday, October 3rd @ 5:30pm at the Neighbourhood Learning Centre, 46361 Yale Road. The Y Mind Mindfulness Group will run weekly from Wednesday, October 17th to Wednesday, December 5th, 5:30pm to 7pm.

Wednesdays, 3 pm – 4 pm Do you have a reluctant reader who needs some "warm and fuzzy" in their day? Reading to a four-legged buddy can help build confidence and increase self-esteem. Trained therapy dogs are the perfect fit for those needing a friend to read to. This is a free program for ages 6-12. Registration required.

Fridays, Nov 16 - Dec 14, 10:30 am - 11:30 am. Learn the power of positive touch with your baby! Find out how massaging your baby can help get them to sleep faster, soothe a troubled tummy and turn a fussy baby into a smiley baby! Please bring along a blanket to lay your baby down on. Cultus Lake Park has announced the dates and activities for their annual family-friendly holiday season event: Cultus Lake Christmas. The highly popular event, which showcases the lighting of the trees throughout the park and a visit each evening from none other than Santa Claus himself, runs on Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. This exciting and lively two-night holiday season celebration event includes: Lighting of trees throughout the Park, Artisan gift market, Visit from Santa Claus, Children’s colouring contest, Bonfire with marshmallows, Hot chocolate, Apple cider (alcohol-free), Holiday music. Be sure to visit the 5th Annual St. Thomas Vendors Fair to discover local treasures and holiday gifts showcased by local home-based businesses and artisans. There's also a bake sale (these treats are amazing) plus a raffle. As always admission is FREE but we are collecting items for the food bank. So stop on by and say hello and bring a friend or two.

St John Ambulance Chilliwack in cooperation with the Chilliwack Fish and Game Protective Association, the Chilliwack Rotary Club and the Chilliwack River Valley Volunteer Fire Department wish to invite you and your family to breakfast with Santa. Hosted in the newly renovated CFGPA Hall in the beautiful Chilliwack River Valley. The Farm Store in Yarrow would like to invite you to the 4th Annual Eats and Treats Christmas Market. Share in the holiday spirit and enjoy some of our favorite holiday treats specially prepared by our vendors and the staff at the Farm Store in Yarrow. Along with tasty eats, we will be treated to live music, food trucks, local artisans, and bakers to help you with your Christmas lists! Kids activities will include Christmas crafts, face painting, and a guest appearance from a very special jolly friend. We are very pleased to announce that this event is free for vendors and guests.
