Chilliwack Restorative Justice and Youth Advocacy Association (CRJYAA) has partnered with Studio B Yoga & More Inc. to offer this FREE youth program for youths of all genders currently enrolled in grades 8 – 10 (for the 2018/2019 school year). In this program we will focus on our combined values; Balance, Community, Honesty, Integrity, Lifestyle and Learning. Be Chill is a FREE youth program that incorporates the foundations and values of Yoga and Restorative Justice with everyday life skills. Full of educational workshops and fun activities that are designed to engage, empower, and connect Chilliwack youth with each other and within their community. This session is 8 weeks in length and will run at Studio B Yoga the following Monday’s from 3:30pm to 5:00pm: September 24 October 1, 15, 22, 29 November 5, 19, 26. The Chilliwack Youth Health Centre and the YMCA are pleased to introduce the Y Mind Mindfulness Group. This free group is for people aged 18-30 who experience anxiety. The group shares mindfulness and stress-management techniques that can help us deal with anxiety and live our best lives. Interested? A facilitator will get back to you and register you for an information session on Wednesday, September 26th or Wednesday, October 3rd @ 5:30pm at the Neighbourhood Learning Centre, 46361 Yale Road. The Y Mind Mindfulness Group will run weekly from Wednesday, October 17th to Wednesday, December 5th, 5:30pm to 7pm.

Nola Crocker with Chilliwack Home Health will explain the process for accessing support, the criteria for care, entitlements and costs. Connie Stam the Coordinator with Compassionate Neighbourhood Health Partners Society is a retired Registered Nurse. The CNHP Society was formed to promote compassionate neighbourhoods and to be healthcare advocates for older adults living with serious illness or frailty.

6:30 pm – 9 pm No trivia is too trivial! Come for a fun evening at the Chilliwack library full of laughter, groans and a chance to win the famous “Smarty Pants” Award! The Harvest Dinner will be taking place in the majestic longhouse on Coqualeetza grounds in Sardis. It is about bringing people together in the community to share locally harvested food and giving thanks to the Creator. The meal will be catered by the amazing Merle's Eatery! The evening will be filled with Indigenous entertainment and a silent auction. You won't want to miss out! There will be a complementary cocktail hour at 5:30pm in the Interpretive Center that is connected to the Stó:lō Gift Shop and wine, beer and appitizers will be served. The gift shop will be open for business during this time; there is handcrafted local Indigenous merchandise for sale and we encourage you to purchase something that will likely stand out to you:) This event and is open to all!!

Come join Chilliwack Restorative Justice for their biannual bike auction fundraiser! We will have about 100 bikes that will be ready for preview at 10:00, auction beginning at 11:00. We can take cash, cheque, or credit card. You must be able to take bikes with you.

2 pm – 3pm Try your artistic hand at string art and create stunning 3D images using string and nails on a board! This program is for ages 9-13, registration is required.

10:30 am – 11 pm Make language fun! Start early with Babytime. Help your baby develop speech and language skills — enjoy bouncing, singing and rhyming with stories. Babytime is a fun, social bonding activity for babies AND caregivers.

Wednesdays, 3 pm – 4 pm Do you have a reluctant reader who needs some "warm and fuzzy" in their day? Reading to a four-legged buddy can help build confidence and increase self-esteem. Trained therapy dogs are the perfect fit for those needing a friend to read to. This is a free program for ages 6-12. Registration required.

3 pm – 4 pm Do you have diabetes or risk factors for diabetes? Do you know what the potential risk factors are? London Drugs Pharmacist, Brian Kim, is a Certified Diabetes Educator who will talk about types of diabetes, signs and symptoms, risk factors, complications, medications and complementary therapies. Learn how to manage your diabetes and live your life to the fullest. Registration is required.

The Robertson Elementary Annual Fall Market will take place on Saturday, October 27th, 2018, from 10am-3pm! We will have around 40 tables of wonderful gifts ideas, including local vendors selling handmade products! There will be lots of door prizes from our vendors as well! Admission is only $2 for adults (kids are free) or a non-perishable food donation. All monies raised at our Fall Market will go towards our Operation Playground Fund!
