Business Improvement Association

The Business Improvement Association (“BIA”) is a non-profit organization representing over 350 businesses and merchants in historic Downtown Chilliwack.

After completing a number of initiatives to improve the historic appearance of the Downtown, the BIA continues to be actively involved in the following:

• Downtown Redevelopment.  With a number of prime redevelopment properties available, and working closely with the City of Chilliwack to take advantage of the Downtown Revitalization Tax Exemption Bylaw, the BIA is focusing on redevelopment and attraction of new businesses to the Downtown.
• Marketing and Promotion.  With over 350 businesses providing a diverse range of products and services, the BIA works with Downtown merchants to make customers aware of what the Downtown has to offer!
• Special Events.  Downtown Chilliwack is host to a number of exciting and fun events throughout the year, culminating with the annual Party in the Park concert series.
• Better Business – The BIA works with Downtown merchants to address issues of concern, such as traffic flow, parking and security, to benefit Downtown businesses and their customers!
