Project 529: Register your bike

If you own a bicycle, protect it by registering with Project 529 Garage. The City of Chilliwack’s Public Safety Advisory Committee, Community Policing Services, Restorative Justice, local bike shops and the cycling community have worked together to effectively bring Project 529 Garage to Chilliwack.

Registering your bike is critical to ensure you have the information needed by law enforcement, insurance and the community to help recover a lost bike. It only takes a few minutes and is easy to do.

To register your bicycle, visit your local bike shop or go online to project529.com/chilliwack. Once registered, add the Project 529 Garage sticker to your bicycle to let thieves know your bike is registered. If it does goes missing, the 529 community and local RCMP will be on the lookout.

If your townhouse complex, apartment complex or neighbourhood block would like to organize a local registration event, please contact Cst. Damian Fleming at 604.393.3000 or [email protected]. Alternatively, visit our Events page for upcoming public registration events.

We can all work together to prevent bicycle theft. Always lock up your bike, register it with Project 529 Garage and remind others to take precautions to protect their possessions.
