Engineering
The Engineering Department is responsible for the planning, design and construction of the municipality's infrastructure. This includes the provision of roads and transportation services (road construction, drainage, signs, streetlighting, etc.), the transit system as well as the provision of utilities such as water and sewer.
The City's solid waste and recycling initiatives are also the responsibility of the Engineering Department. For more information on these and the City's other environmental initiatives, see the Environmental Services section.
